MICROSOFT® VISUAL BASIC® - PROGRAMMING LOGIC AND DESIGN

MICROSOFT® VISUAL BASIC® - PROGRAMMING LOGIC AND DESIGN : Download free pdf http://freecomputerbooksforyou.blogspot.com/

Microsoft® Visual Basic®  Programming Logic and Design, Sixth Edition (also known as, VB PAL) is designed to provide students with an opportunity to write Visual Basic programs as part of an Introductory Programming Logic course. It is written to be a companion text to the student’s primary text, Programming Logic and Design, Sixth Edition, by Joyce Farrell. Th is textbook assumes
no programming language experience and provides the beginning programmer with a guide to writing structured programs and simple object-oriented programs using introductory elements of the popular
Visual Basic programming language. It is not intended to be a textbook for a course in Visual Basic programming. Th e writing is nontechnical and emphasizes good programming practices. Th e examples do not assume mathematical background beyond high school math.
Additionally, the examples illustrate one or two major points; they do not contain so many features that students become lost following irrelevant and extraneous details.

The C programming tutorial - PDF

The C programming tutorial - PDF

The C programming tutorial - PDF

This book is a tutorial. Its aim is to teach C to a beginner, but with enough of the details so as not be outgrown as the years go by. It presumes that you have some previous aquaintance with programming — you need to know what a variable is and what a function is — but you do not need much experience. It is not essential to follow the order of the chapters rigorously, but if you are a beginner to C it is recommended. When it comes down to it, most languages have basically the same kinds of features: variables, ways of making loops, ways of making decisions, ways of accessing files etc. If you want to plan your assault on C, think about what you already know about programming and what you expect to look for in C. You will most likely find all of those things and more, as you work though the chapters.

Core Java

Core Java free computer book http://freecomputerbooksforyou.blogspot.com/

In late 1995, the Java programming language burst onto the Internet scene and gained instant celebrity status. The promise of Java is that it will become the universal glue that connects users with information, whether that information comes from Web servers, databases, information providers, and any other imaginable source. Indeed Java is in a unique position to fulfill this promise. It is an extremely solidly engineered language that has gained acceptance by all major vendors, except for Microsoft. Its built-in security and safety features are reassuring both to programmers and to the users of Java programs. Java even has built-in support that makes advanced programming tasks, such as network programming, database connectivity, and multithreading, straightforward.

Since then, Sun Microsystems has released four major revisions of the Java Software Development Kit. Version 1.02, released in 1996, supported database connectivity and distributed objects. Version 1.1, released in 1997, added a robust event model, internationalization, and the Java Beans component model. Version 1.2, released at the end of 1998, has numerous enhancements, but one major improvement stands out: the “Swing” user interface toolkit that finally allows programmers to write truly portable GUI applications. Version 1.3, released in the spring of 2000, delivered many incremental improvements.

Python Tutorial - PDF

Python Tutorial - PDF http://freecomputerbooksforyou.blogspot.com/

Python is an easy to learn, powerful programming language. It has efficient high-level data structures and a simple but effective approach to object-oriented programming. Python’s elegant syntax and dynamic typing, together with its interpreted nature, make it an ideal language for scripting and rapid application development in many areas on most platforms. The Python interpreter and the extensive standard library are freely available in source or binary form for all major platforms from the Python Web site, http://www.python.org/, and may be freely distributed. The same site also contains distributions of and pointers to many free third party Python modules, programs and tools, and additional documentation. The Python interpreter is easily extended with new functions and data types implemented in C or C++ (or other languages callable from C). Python is also suitable as an extension language for customizable applications.

This tutorial introduces the reader informally to the basic concepts and features of the Python language and system. It helps to have a Python interpreter handy for hands-on experience, but all examples are self-contained, so the tutorial can be read off-line as well.

Let Us C - Yashavant P. Kanetkar : Download PDF

Let Us C - Yashavant P. Kanetkar http://freecomputerbooksforyou.blogspot.com/

About the Author :-
Destiny drew Yashavant Kanetkar towards computers when the IT industry was just making a beginning in India. Having completed his education from VJTI Mumbai and IIT Kanpur in Mechanical Engineering he started his training company in Nagpur. Yashavant has a passion for writing and is an author of several books in C, C++, VC++, C#, .NET, DirectX and COM programming. He is a much sought after speaker on various technology subjects and is a regular columnist for Express Computers and Developer 2.0. His current affiliations include being a Director of KICIT, a training company and DCube Software Technologies, a software development company. In recognition to his contribution Microsoft awarded him the prestigious “Best .NET Technical Contributor” award recently

It is mid 2004. World has left behind the DOTCOM bust, 9/11 tragedy, the economic downturn, etc. and moved on. Countless Indians have relentlessly worked for close to two decades to successfully establish “India” as a software brand. At times I take secret pleasure in seeing that a book that I have been part of, has contributed in its own little way in shaping so many budding careers that have made the “India” brand acceptable.
Computing and the way people use C for doing it keeps changing as years go by. So overwhelming has been the response to all the previous editions of “Let Us C” that I have now decided that each year I would come up with a new edition of it so that I can keep the readers abreast with the way C is being used at that point in time.
There are two phases in every C programmer’s life. In the first phase he is a learner trying to understand the language elements and their nuances. At this stage he wants a simple learning environment that helps him to master the language. In my opinion, even today there isn’t any learning environment that can beat Turbo C/C++ for simplicity. Hence the first fifteen chapters are written keeping this environment in mind, though a majority of these programs in these chapters would work with any C compiler.

The Black Art of Programming : Download PDF

The Black Art of Programming

The Black Art of Programming http://freecomputerbooksforyou.blogspot.com/

A book about computer programming

A computer program is a set of statements that is used to create an output, such as a screen display, a printed report, a set of data records, or a calculated set of numbers. Most programs involve statements that are executed in sequence. A program is written using the statements of a programming language. Individual statements perform simple operations such as printing an item of text, calculating a single value, and comparing values to determine which set of statements to execute. Simple instructions are performed in hardware by the computer’s central processing unit. Complex instructions are written in programming languages and translated into the internal instruction set by another program. Computer memory is generally composed of bytes, which are data items that contain a binary number. These values can range from 0 to 255. Memory locations are referred to by number, known as an address.

Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis - C++ Version

Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis - C++ Version

Data Structures and Algorithm Analysis

This book describes many techniques for representing data. These techniques are presented within the context of the following principles:

 1. Each data structure and each algorithm has costs and benefits. Practitioners need a thorough understanding of how to assess costs and benefits to be able to adapt to new design challenges. This requires an understanding of the principles of algorithm analysis, and also an appreciation for the significant effects of the physical medium employed (e.g., data stored on disk versus
main memory).

2. Related to costs and benefits is the notion of tradeoffs. For example, it is quite common to reduce time requirements at the expense of an increase in space requirements, or vice versa. Programmers face tradeoff issues regularly in all phases of software design and implementation, so the concept must become deeply ingrained.

3. Programmers should know enough about common practice to avoid reinventing the wheel. Thus, programmers need to learn the commonly used data structures, their related algorithms, and the most frequently encountered design patterns found in programming.

there is explicit coverage of some design patterns that are encountered when programming the basic
data structures and algorithms covered in the book.
